When I write a Weekly Radio Recap, the intro is (oddly enough) always the last thing I write. With that in mind, it seems appropriate that I apologize in advance for probably the worse pun you'll ever see on this site... The headline writing only goes upward from here, people!

BIRCH IS BAKING NEWS -- Longtime Kansas City newsman Randy Birch is back on the air, this time sharing his talents with seven stations across the country. The arragement, which sees Birch added to the menu at programming provider Audience Bakery, reunites him with one-time KFKF programmer Dean James, who serves as the company's "Master Baker" for the country format.

BURNS BACK IN THE BIZ -- Former KXXR/KRBZ Program Director Brian Burns also made a triumphant return to radio this past week, as he was named Operations Manager for State Broadcasting's Dublin, Georgia cluster. The group counts five stations, including a classic rocker, two country outlets and two gospel stations.

LAST WEEK TO NOMINATE CAMPO -- We're down to the wire in the LIVE! with Regis & Kelly "Women of Radio Co-Host Contest" as you have until Friday at 11AM local time to make your nomination. If you haven't already, we invite you to take a minute and nominate KCKC's Christy Campo to represent KC as a co-host. For all the details, just CLICK HERE.

Thanks as always for reading, and have a great week!
